Participatory game design with didactic model of architecture. The aim is to provide the youngest users with a tool for playful and active reflection on the possibilities of contemporary domestic spaces.

Observing how some initiatives had used the great offer of the Playmobil© catalog to make historical dissemination, we came up with the idea of combining the standard scales and proportions of these commercial products with the flexibility of the model with which we work in professional offices (which is usually precarious, conceptual and abstract).

Looking for possibilities beyond the stereotypes that conventional dollhouses promote about domestic life and looking at commercial building sets, flexible but abstract and with few material qualities. We developed a form of symbolic play where children could experiment with the form and materials of a recognizable but manipulable domestic space.

The idea was concretized in a kit of prepared house, of simple execution. Designed for family assembly or small workshops. They were offered through Verkami and for a couple of years the Cooperativa d’Arquitectes Jordi Capell.
